MegaStats Free
MegaStats Free is the free version of the paid MegaStats website statistics service. But unfortunately most options are disabled unless you upgrade to the paid version. Is there anything positive to report about this counter? There are a few gadgets in MegaStats Free, but we consider these not very valuable. The graphics are generated with Flash, this gives a dynamic appearance, and exporting to text and Excel files is made very easy. Also you can block specific referrers, we have not seen this before with a counter. The effect of blocking referrers is limited though, it will keep your visitor numbers clean, but referrer reporting itself is not available at all in MegaStats Free.As said before, few options exist with MegaStats Free. Even a simple graph or table showing the visitor counts for the past several days, is missing. We measured that it takes quite some time for the counter code to load, once installed on your website. Visitors might notice a delay in viewing your webpages if you implement MegaStats Free. Also the maximum number of allowed hits is, with 25,000 per month, very low.
We can not really recommend MegaStats Free. Lucky for you there are a lot of alternative free counters and trackers.
